Sunflowers

did you know…Only young, growing sunflower heads track the sun from east to west during the day, a process called heliotropism. Once mature, the stem stiffens and the blooms stop moving, permanently facing east to catch the morning sun, which attracts more pollinators.

I chose Sunflowers for my picture because my entire life I feel I have looked toward the sun, the sunny side of things, instead of the trauma, loneliness and survival that encompassed my life. Do not misunderstand…I did not have a bad life and there were many great moments, however I feel I lived my life in survival mode, so even those good moments were fleeting.

I have created this space to share stories of my life- the good, the bad the unexplained happenings- pure craziness at times and my journey to find some sort of peace at the end.

I hope you enjoy the stories and that some may resonate and get you through whatever life has handed or will continue to hand you-no matter what, look to the sun. The morning sun is a new day, a do-over, a new beginning, a fresh start and light in our darkest hours.
